MISSION▪X SUMMARY Michael Shepherd
At the beginning of the Mission X, I did not know what I wanted to do. I went from poetry to calligraphy. Finally, I decided to do letter poems.
Letter poems are when you write a letter in the form of a poem. My first letter poem was addressed to Calligraphy. I talked about the way it looked and how the strokes of the pen felt when writing calligraphy. My next letter poem was addressed to Spiders. I hate spiders so much. My hate for spiders was my inspiration for this letter poem. My next letter poem was to Grass. I wrote this one because I couldn’t think of anything else to write to.
Then I wrote one about Numbers. I wrote this one because I was curious to know if numbers are endless. Next I wrote a letter poem to Trash. I wrote that one because I wanted trash to know how worthless it is. I also wrote a letter poem to a mischievous hare. This letter poem was written because I wanted a fun letter poem. My next one was to man’s best friend. If you do not get it, I am writing to dogs. I wrote this because I like dogs. My next poem was to Anonymous. This poem is meant to ask questions about the world that no one really thinks about.
One of my favorite letter poems was my next one. This letter poem was to Music. I wrote this because everyone likes music. My last letter poem was to Mission X. In this one I talked about how great this project was.
I also worked with other people in their activities. I helped Jesse and Mitch with their movies and Maddison with his skating video. I also answered some of Campbell’s questions. Overall my first year of Mission X was a success. I am looking forward to it next year.
