Ally Fleming

MISSIONX  SUMMARY Ally Fleming | Q&Ally Ep. 1Ep. 2., Ep. 3

For my Mission X project, I decided to film a series of question-and-answer videos and upload them to Youtube. This was so much fun for me. Mission X was definitely my favorite project this year. I made a total of three videos. For the very first video I filmed, I made a Q&A box and put it in the Klein Hall hallway. I got a ton of random, funny questions.

I sat down with Morgan Klein and Wesley Neal and answered almost every question in that box. I even had a live audience. It was hilarious. After I had the footage, I began editing the video. Editing was the hardest part, but it was really easy and fun once I got the hang of it. I added text, slow-mo, and cut out random clips that I had. The editing process took up to six hours for me.

When the editing process was finished, it was time to upload the video to Youtube. I added information in the information box below the video and made a thumbnail. After I uploaded the first video, I decided to make more. I ended up finishing two more videos.

In one video, I asked a bunch of different people the same question. It was cool to see all the different answers. The last video I uploaded was a talk with Abigail Woodall. We both came up with five questions each to quiz each other on.

While my videos were really fun, I wanted to do something else, so I created a blog. I decided to blog about beauty and fashion. The blog wasn't my main project, but it was still really fun to post things on it. I loved creating videos and answering questions. I hadn't realized how comfortable I felt in front of the camera. It may be something I pursue in the future.

Mission X has given me a great opportunity to learn and try something I may not have tried without this project.

The real work of making a video is editing it down to make it look more professional. Take your time, and it should come out great.
