MISSION▪X SUMMARY Maggie Kiernan
I really enjoyed Mission X! I’m really glad I picked a comic book. Anyways, here’s my summary!
First I thought about doing a TV show or an animation about lions. I decided that it’d be something to do with drawing because I love drawing, and I do it every day. Then I had an idea about doing a comic book!
Quickly I sketched my characters and started the first page. I got around eight pages done when spring break came around and about five lined. While I was on vacation, I thought about the plot of the story and the characters’ personalities and such. I was freaking out a little because I lost my black pen, so I couldn’t line. When we were back from break, I stopped lining and focused on getting the story done.
After a while, it got really boring, and I just wanted to quit and start something completely new. I drew so much that I decided to take a break for a week and focus on Flowers for Algernon. I started to rush a little bit because I had to have it done in time. The comic book is still a work in progress. It’s only sketched. I was a bit disappointed with the story. I felt like it was very quick, no action and VERY boring.
After a few weeks of constant drawing, I finished! It was a really great feeling when I did. I got a lot more free time so I could make the final touches and make it pretty.
