MISSION▪X SUMMARY Madeline Mooney
My idea was to make a parody of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy as a pony comic to combine my love of My Little Pony with my love of British science fiction.
For the title, I came up with the awesome pun of “Don’t Ponic.” For the first couple of weeks, I worked on my comic, which turned out to be hysterically funny. I made jokes about Miley Cyrus, Zayn leaving One Direction, Elliott Smith, and the flying spaghetti monster.
The story is about a pony who acts like a teenage girl and his alien friend, the only one who knows about Earth’s imminent destruction. After Earth is destroyed, they end up on the alien spaceship, where they get thrown out. They are saved by another spaceship, this one with a two-headed pony, his annoying girlfriend, and an emo robot.
They land on a planet where they find the answer to a very important question. . . .
After I finished that, I got started on “Restaurant at the End of the Unicornverse,” the sequel. So far in the sequel, the ponies try to summon the ghost of Elliott Smith to fix their broken spaceship. Near the end, I got Mr. B. to scan and photocopy my comic so I could color the covers.

If you want to make a comic, you should put a blank sheet of paper between two pages so they do not rub together and get pencil lead all over the place. You should also remember to draw everything consistently, so there are no continuity errors in your comic.
